IM SO EXCITTED....

      As I was switching my 2012 calendar over to my new 2013 calendar I realized two exciting things. First, one of my does was supposed to go back into heat yesterday and she HAS NOT. I have been extremely lucky and was able to get a second buck after she didn’t breed with our first buck. I love this buck. His markings and temperament are amazing. And second, My FF should be half way through her gestation. Her heats are not as noticeable so I’m hoping she is bread as I haven’t seen any signs of heat from her either. So we will, for the first time, hopefully be having baby goats as soon as March 16th…. SO EXCITTED. Can someone maybe tell me how soon do FF start making an udder? Thanks

    I have one due mid April and still working on the other two. Goat kids are so much fun and so sweet to love on. ^^

    Ditto, except that I also have two that are due mid February as well. Every year I ask myself "what was I thinking-its going to be freezing out"- lol! That reminds me-Im going to start another discussion....

    Bring on the pics Jess, I am ready! I love it when I log on and see someone has had new kids and posted their pics! I like to see each one good and know if it is a buck or doe kid. It is also fun to here their weights! Just like with our people kids, we like details! So ya'll know I will post all the dets!

    I can’t wait. I hope everyone has beautiful kids soon. I know I will be flooding you all with pics as soon as I can get them. I am so nervous as this is mine and my does first time kidding. I cant wait for it to be over, everyone is healthy, I know what to expect in the future and have beautiful baby’s bouncin around my back yard. Good Luck to you all

    Well, I guess it is safe to say that in the world of goats, another common behavior is that when Jan. 1st rolls around all the momma's and daddy's start to get excited about spring kids coming! I can not wait to see what this year brings! I hope, lots of gorgeous does, for everyone!

    CONGRATS!! First babies are so exciting!! Does are all different, but you may start to see an udder as soon as a month before delivery, and as late as the day of! Depends.
