I'm Robin, and I'm just east of Springfield, OR. I found this group by accident the other day while doing a search for another member (hi Julie Q.!), and am really happy to be here.
I got my very first goats 9 years ago from Quicksilver Farms in Idaho. My dream was to breed, show and milk them, but when the babies started coming I didn't have the heart to give any of them up and had to rethink my plan. When our herd got up to 15 I had my buck wethered and decided everyone was going to be pets and brush eaters from that point on.
Rose and Trinket are my queen bees, and Cash is my beautiful boy. I love all my babies, but these 3 will always have a most special place in my heart. I wonder what life would be like if I had never known the joy and frustration of having goats!
My human family includes my husband, 6 children (3 still at home), and 3 grandchildren that are all living with us. Besides the goats we have horses, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, cats, rats, fish and a turtle. Life is busy but rewarding.
Thanks to all of you for welcoming me!

Hi Robin,
What a great story! I have had goats before, but I've only had these little Nigerians for 3 weeks and they certainly stole my heart! It's a pleasure to meet you and I'm sure you will enjoy this group. It's a special one =)
Sincerely,
Kare
