Well the fair is over. I have to say I did pretty good. Irena won a blue and
Reserve Champion ribbon and we won a red ribbon in Showmanship. Willie got a
blue ribbon in his category. I also showed my friends baby Nigerian Dwarf, she
won a red. I had a fun, interesting and sad fair this year. I am also
celebrating the birth of my friends Nigerian/Pygmy baby Jennifer Nettles, who
was born on the Fair Grounds.

Congratulations, Payton! Truly exciting! I sometimes think it would be fun to take the goats to the fair, but I don't know how people with goat to milk and care for ever manage to leave home long enough to do it. I guess you really need someone you can trust who wants to milk goats for you. Maybe someday I'll have that. I have a couple of daughters who are practicing every evening now. If they get faster at it and can manage to empty the udders, I think I might have some future helpers! Congratulations again! :)
Thanks everyone!

OH, that is so exciting! Sounds really super, and I bet if you tell us the name of the paper we can find the article. I will try finding it with the Polk County Fair info meanwhile.
I even made the local paper with me holding the new arrival!
