Hi everyone.  My husband and I are just getting ready to get a couple of ND's.  We want to be more self-sufficient and besides that they are just so darn cute.  We have 16 chickens (1 happy rooster and 15 hens) and will be building a goat barn and pastures over the next couple of months as we get the money to do it. 

 

Everyone seems to be so helpful here, and I've learned more in the past 2 days reading over these threads than I have in months of google surfing. 

 

Thanks for all the great info.  I know I'm going to have lots of questions coming up.

    Welcome to the group! I don't personally know anyone in Mississippi who raises NDs, but you can check the membership lists for ADGA (www.adga.org) and AGS (www.americangoatsociety.com) to get some ideas.

    I live on the MS gulf coast - if anyone has suggestions on where some ND farms are, I'd appreciate it.
