I am still looking for "just the right blue-eyed boy"! One with all the right stuff and just happens to have blue eyes too! This little guy is available and looks like he may be swollen from disbudding in the photo! The white buck is dad, Oldesouth Blue Blanc Sabr who has just won GrCh Sr Buck (first leg) and 2 reserve GrCh Sr Buck awards! Sabr is out of LTE Silene who LA 2011 90 EEEE @ 7 years old, and Oldesouth Shell Foop who is out of my Swell Foop daughter LTE Olde Butter and Rosasharns General (MY FAVORITE BUCK EVER!) who is out of Rosasharn's Honey Bee and Rosasharn's Mercury. I don't have a pic of mom, WHO IS A "FF"! But I have always really liked her mother, who is LTE Perovskia (udder pics below) and is now on DHIR and a pretty nice doe. Her dad is once again my favorite buck General! So this should be a really nice line breeding off of General who is the Sue Rucker JuJu Sire award winner for 2011 and the first (I am pretty sure..still the only) buck to ever earn triple  + status in all 3 of the ND Associations. Ad the first ND buck to accomplish triple milk+ through his daughters. LA 2012 89 Very Good. The other buck here is General! He is the goat love of my life! So any opinions? I am trying not to jump to quick on anything, but I also would hate to pass on just what I am wanting! I can't afford to make a mistake because I don't have room or need for any more bucks right now. I only want ONE more at the moment!

  • Not sure if I followed everything correctly, but it sounds like his dam is a FF. If so, I don't buy or sell bucks out of FFs. You really don't know what you're getting.

  • Hahahaha I drive soo many non-goat people crazytoo!! Especially my woodshop teacher!! Lol my top subject at school is goats and horses!! :)

  • That's funny Rachel! I don't think I know that many or that much. I just mostly know DIFFERENT ones!

I knew nothing until I decided I wanted them and I had made the mistake in the past with dogs of acquiring inferior animals that wasted a small fortune. So I did A LOT of research and made sure I remembered what would be most accessible and affordable for me along with what I thought seemed the best  all time goats and the best herds and I don't really know how much I know, but I have a GREAT IDEA of what I LIKE and I think that I have a DECENT eye for them! [My baby girl Kate(10),  also seems to have a gift for seeing awesome goat boobies, so I consult with her about that part to see if we agree...she SOOO seriously studied those pics and the charts ...helps keep her interested...she is VERY critical...wouldn't want her judging my goats]

You guys probably know more than you think! Ya'll have a major advantage on me! I have bad memory problems. I can remember a lot of goats and herds I like and things like that and I can make notes and look up all the info on my pc and decide what I want and buy it but then I can't remember the pedigrees of MY goats! I know they all have nice peds with some great goats but can't remember which ones are where. It is really sad! It is so bad that I have decided I am going to order 5 generation peds on every goat so that I can consult with them for breeding options! I know this little fellows background pretty good but am a little leary of my judgement about his mom mostly! I literally know nothing more than about HER than her name and that she is a FF! But I do know that her mom is pretty nice and I am so in love with her daddy! He is a dreamboat! He is THE BUCK that I want a buck out of, and only because I can't have HIM! And since this is a line breeding off of him and that par of the pedigree is full of awesomeness! I also know that although I already have 2 really nice boys, to make my herd like I want it I will have to make sure to bring in the very best bucks I can find and I want BLUE eyes! That will not be easy to do, especially since they have to be accessible and affordable! And this is the only farm I know of that can offer me all that and she is a 3 hour drive! She is sooo sweet and sooo knowledgeable. She has been raising and showing NDs almost as long as they have been in the country, does DHIR, 99% sure she is a licensed dairy and has a degree in dairy farming or animal husbandry or one of those things, and is a pharmacist at the hospital! I LOVE her farm! Has sheep, cows, horses turkeys, every time I go there to get a goat she gives me a darn chicken! I really trust her! Maybe I should ask her and do what SHE says! HUH!

I know our Deb knows these goats and will have an opinion! I know she knows Honey Bee and Mercury at least!

OMG! I don't know what is wrong with me! I think my kids (2 legged) must have me wired up! hehe! I just love these goaties. Can ya'll imagine how nuts I drive non-goat people? LOL! It's pretty bad!

  • Thats what id like to get my herd to!! Lol

  • lol I think you're coming to the wrong  people if you want us to tell you no more goats. lol

  • I would like to get 4 nigerian does, 1 nigerian buck and 4 nubian does, 1 nubian buck. :)

  • WOW! Yea, I think you should! I have 2 bucks now, 14 does and 2 kids (1 is a doeling also)!

  • You sound like me!! Lol "ONE" more!! At the present moment I have 3 bucks, 4 does, and 1 wether. Trying to sell one buck and the wether so I can get more does!! Lol (That number isnt including the kids.)
