Hi I have young pet goats. Their horns are still growing and are a few inches long now. Goats where made to have horns so I don't believe in removing their horns. But I was wondering if there was a way to try and train the horns to grow straight back and not to curve out to the sides as much. To make them more safe.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or ever tried to do this and if it worked.

This would be impossible. The horns grow at a very slow rate for many years and are rock hard. There is no way to purposefully put a bend in them like you can a growing tree.

Thanks, I understand that it would be like that because the horns grow so slowly. Most of my goat's horns are growing normal but I have a older goat that is about 3 years old I think that at some point his horns were removed and are now growing back but I'm afraid that they are growing in a weird direction that will cause him problems later. I can't believe that someone would have done that to his horns it looks like they were cut off.
Sounds like he has scurs. If you post a picture, we can give you an idea of what happened. He may have been disbudded by someone who was inexperienced.
