FINALLY babies!! To top it off, my dam has a history of bucklings and singles. She had TWINS, and DOELINGS!! They look just about identical to her. lol I weighed them today... the smaller of the two weighed 3 and 3/4 lb. and the larger weighed 4 and 3/4 lb!! Both with full tummies, of course, but still! I can't imagine what they would be size wise if I had grained my doe the whole time she was pregnant!!

  • Margaret, I had already planned to keep any doelings from this breeding, because these does are unrelated to both my bucks, and they increase my breeding options. Plus, their mom is a really great mom, and has a good temperment. The biggest one, I named MiniMe... and I'll call her Mini. She's nearly a carbon copy of her mom, and then of course, mini being in jest at how totally UN mini she is. The other one is going to be named Nutmeg (in keeping with the baking theme for all of Ginger's kids) I'll probably call her Meg.

  • YES!! She IS huge! lol I don't think Ginger could have done it without trouble if she hadn't had kids before. I'm nearly positive.

  • Oh, Love the video, but that kid looks HUGE, poor mama goat! But they are gorgeous!

So what you gonna name them Nutmeg and Cinnamon? LOL! I know you are gonna keep them!

  • Congratulations

  • Thank you, Deb!! I value your opinions more than I can say! Thank you so much for this community, and for your personal input on questions here.

  • Wow! Those are BIG girls! I don't think you have much to worry about when it comes to your management. You're doing good! Congratulations!
