  • Thank you so very much...it has been very hectic around here with snowing off and on and trying to find feed that isn't wet or moldy.

Have a Wonderful New Year....looking forward to many more chats with you.

  • Adele, I hate to say this, but maybe she isn't pregnant. If she doesn't have a bag, it is highly unlikely she will have kids in the next couple days. My almost-14-year-old doe scared the daylights out of me a month ago because I SWEAR I saw her belly move! Until that day, I had been thinking that she looks better than she has in at least a couple years because she had recently put on some weight. So, I pulled out my calendar and found that there was a buck loose in her pen in July, so I was freaking out that I had a very old pregnant doe . But she still has not gotten an udder, so I'm breathing a big sigh of relief because she would be due in a week, so ... no udder, no babies. Anyway, I'd hate for you to call the vet out only to learn that she isn't pregnant. Could you snap a current photo of her from behind and put it on here so we can see her mammary area and belly?

  • Hi Margaret,

I sure thought she was in labor....as it turned out, the babies were moving into place (I guess).

I noticed yesterday morning that her teats look longer and full....still no noticable bag.

Today I have had her 149 days......so it should be anytime (I hope). I would think that she was not pregnant, except for the fact that I have seen the babies REALLY move several times over the last month.

So, I'm on constant watch and baby monitor on at night.

I will let you know as soon as she does SOMETHING!

If she doesn't have them by the 26th, I'll have the vet come check her out....I haven't wanted to do that before, as she is the one you can't touch and I didn't want to stress her out.

Thank you for asking...have a Merry Christmas.

  • So,  Adele, what's up with Bonnie? Is everthing ok?

  • Hej Adele!
My thoughts are with you and Bonnie! I will say a prayer for her
and you when I go into Notre Dame tomorrow!
I am writing to you and Bonnie from Paris this afternoon, not Sweden. I hope
she has an uncomplicated delivery and you get cute
and healthy babies! Kisses to you both !

  • Good morning all,

Went to feed this morning and Bonnie is beginning labor.....new babies on the way. Say a little prayer for Bonnie and me...we need it.

    I'll keep you all updated.

  • And, the boys are lovers btw ^^

  • they are gorgeous!

  • Here is a picture I took yesterday with my cell phone....sorry it's a little grainy. Their favorite place to sleep is mama's fed pan.

Today will be tough, they will be locked up in the barn, as it is snowing.
