I am in the market for a new herd sire.
I would like for him to be over 6 months old and under 8 years old.
He needs to be naturally polled and have good confirmation in body.
High milk production in his back ground is a must.
I am in NW Arkansas, 72740.
I would like to find one close to home, but will travel a bit for the right buck.
Please, if you have one you would like to sell contact me. I will give him a wonderful home and he will be treated like a king.
Thank you and God Bless
Kelly Wood

Her is were i bought my polled doe from. She is a awesome lady and all her goats are milked and shown. She is not online a lot so her site is outdated a little. But she has a bunch of polled goats she is located between Springfield and Branson area.

Hope its ok to put this info up. I have only bought goats from J Bar G and Garden Goat
No worries Margaret. I laughed my behind off when I read that post. I told my Hubby that I was called a nut and a stinker all in the same sentence. :-)
I pick Whistles up on Monday. His full name is Piddlin Acres Bells and Whistles. I have a picture of him that Tracy sent me, but I am not sure how to post it...yet....I will defenitly get some pics of him when I get him home though.
Here is Tracy's website http://bellestarr.webs.com/ She has some really beautiful animals.
Kelly, I do hope you know, I really was only teasing you.
Now that, that is over with. I am so happy you found one you wanted. Have you gotten him yet or do you have a pic of him? You said Tracy's website. Were is that?
Sorry if I caused you any grief Margaret for I did not mean to. I just really started thinking hard on it and started to wonder why I did not think about just raising up my owned polled buck. LOL And no, actually I did not find it on goat finder. I was searching goats in search tempest and came up with Tracy's website and I just point blank asked her about bucks. LOL
Thank you for the offer Kare at Chaverah Farm, but I have already comminted to buying this other buck. I will have 3 bucks and I think that is plenty for the time being. :-)
Hi Kelly,
If you are not in a hurry and willing to travel, I have a polled buck that I will be breeding to 2-3 does for next year. You could send a deposit to hold a buckling from him.
My buck has excellent milk genetics and great conformation. He is small and very sweet. So far this year out of his 4 kids, 3 have been polled.
He has more kids coming this month, but they will not be 100% Nigerian, so I don't know if you would want a buck from that kidding. They will be 7/8 Nigerian and 1/8 Nubian
You can see my polled buck, Ferdinand, and read his pedigree at http://ChaverahFarm.com
You nut, that is funny, hahaha! Wait a minute, that ain't funny. You had me goin' nuts trying to help you find something that hard to find. You little stinker. I might get you back for that one day! Not to mention the fact that you can GROW one yourself.DAAA! Good deal hope it works out. I have seen some really nice Piddlin Acres goats. Can't wait to see what he looks like. Let us know when we can get a look at him! Did you happen to find him through the goat finders.
I crack myself up sometimes! I think and then I over think and when I quit thinking, it just comes to me. I have decided that my buck does not have to be polled. YEAH! I have a few polled girls who if I breed to a "horned" buck may eventually provide me with a nice polled buckling. Then I would have my polled boy. :-)
I have a bead on a nice buck in MO that is from Piddlin Acres and is from a nice dairy line. We shall see what happens.
Wise decision, to find the right one. This is to important and with you needing polled as a requirement, well a little tricky. You don't want to lose on your quality to get polled, it just isn't worth it when you know he is still going to produce horned kids. So you will just have to take your time to get both the polled and good quality! Hang in there and I'll keep my eyes open.
Thank you so much for the help Margaret! I have not heard of goatfinders.com before. I checked it out and did some searching, but I must not be doing it right because there are no ND's for sale. LOL
I have decided not to be in a hurry about finding a new buck. I am going to take my time and find the right one without setteling. That is new to me because normally I just jump in head first. HAHA!
However, if anyone has a nice polled buck, I am more than willing to look at it.
Thanks again!
It's ok, so do I, that is why I conduct my searches the way I do: I pull up a bunch of pages and go to goatfinders.com on one page mapquest on another and click on the driving directions so I can put in my house or where-ever(Your state and zip a while ago when I did it) and then the cities that pop up on the goatfinders search to see how many miles and driving time I also pull up US map on one to remind me of how many states away I am I get on a roll like that and can usually wind up finding some one with good to great stock near were-ever I am looking. FUNNY part is that the only place there really seems to be NONE to be found as far as I can tell so far is "HERE", Yep the hardest place for me to find any is right where I am. One reason I figure I should be able to get good money for my kids. I seem to be the first here with a herd and I bought very good lines so I feel that I should get top dollar for my kids, now my milk will be a different story but I don't really care because I think I can utilize a very large amount of it and want to make soaps and cheeses etc. so that's no sweat. But there are goats around, not to far away, so I assume that someone is using that milk but as far as meeting a demand for backyard milkers, no, they are not available here!
Anyway, I am checking around to see what I find around you! So far I have found several places I won't mention within a few hours of you that I don't feel will have anything nice for you so I'll keep checking. I will check some of the places on goatfinders a few at a time as I can. Sometimes I find good ones and sometimes I get leads to good ones. If they don't seem good I just skip over them.
