So I'm thinking about the future, and was wondering at what age I should put my bucklings in with my buck Ta Tanka? I don't want to take them away from their mama too early, but am curious at what age is appropriate? Thanks.

The other answers you got were fine, but I'll add something completely different ... why are you keeping them as bucks? Unless your doe is proven in the milk pail or show ring, and you're sure they'll be sold as intact bucks, why not castrate them at two months and leave them with mom? More than 90% of bucks are castrated and sold as pets, brush eaters, or for meat. I know nothing about the genetics behind your goats, but I personally castrate all bucklings out of first fresheners because I have no idea what kind of milker they're going to be or if I want to be passing along those genetics in a buck who could sire a hundred kids or more in his life. I want to make sure a doe is a good milker before I start selling her bucks as herd sires. And I really feel sad for the little guys when I have to take them away from their mother. I think castration is a small price to pay to get to stay with their dam longer. They get way more upset about being taken away from their mother than do about getting castrated.
Some say as early as two months. I've had one that I felt had to be separated at two months, but I feel like most are closer to three.
For my herd about 3 months old.
