Has anyone tried the device called Udderly EZ I have been reading about it thought that it sounded like a good way to keep milk clean as it goes right into a bottle not into a pail. I would like to hear if anyone has + or - on it before I buy as it is not cheap I think 189 for everything.
Thanks

I agree with Dianea. She was the one who suggest the Maggidans to me, it worked so well with my cranky Doe Fern, I was hooked. Now, ol' Fern is my best milker, she has an udder like a cow and does not try to kick my head off. It is very gentle on the goat and easy to clean. I have not had any mastitis with it. I use the udder wash formula from Fias Co Farm. It combines Dawn dish detergent and clorox. I use it on the udders and I clean with milker with it. I use 1 quart of water, 1 tbsp of clorox and a squirt of dawn.
I am about to order one...are you happy with how it cleans up. Is it as fast as hand milking? Do the parts hold up (I see they are selling replacement parts and I wondered if that was because they needed a lot of replacement. Mostly I am looking at this so I can have someone else milk when I wanted to be gone overnight. I only have two in milk with the possbility of 4 at the most. Any other advice on this? Thanks, Jan in Maine

I do not use udderly ez but I do use the Maggidan with teh collection bottle. It keeps the milk clean also. I have been told by others not to use this all the time as I have had mastitis more this year than in the past and they think this is casue. Not sure but I do like the maggidan as it cost less and the man who makes is easy to talk with on the phone for help. Personally I hope to one day get a milking machine but it will come in time. This works for now. I milked 12 does with this system this year.
