Think of the child coming home with the first all A report card. I have the bestest news!
Summer gave birth this morning, Day 143, with no great signs except some pawing last night and her ligaments were loose. Without going into detail, I started about on morning routine this morning, checking Capri first with no great change. Milked out a cup with the hand milker and tried to get babies to eat while she was on the stand. Not much luck with me trying to feed the in the stall either, hoping so much that when Summer kids that Capri's hormones will take over. When I left out there, Summer was under the sleeping shelf where she sleeps with her read towards me, all seemed normal, no mucus, etc. I was thinking yesterday that I really wanted her to wait until Tuesday when things had settled a bit.
Headed out to get yesterday's eggs and there was a crash in the goat area. Went back through the house since the patio door to the outside was latched, Ginger had knocked some things over (she is in the common area to not get to either of the others). Put her outside, latched the door so she could not get back in, turned around and Summer was presenting. Went out to the gate to unlock it and call my son to see if he could come up, in that minute or so that he took to walk the 75 feet and back, baby is on its way! By the time I got over there, baby was completely out. That was 9:23 Summer did an excellent job cleaning and drying it so I just left her alone. At 9:50, another one coming! By 9:55 the third one was born, I had to move the second one to make room for the third one the way she was laying. If I didn't know better, I would have sworn they were in the same sac they were so close!
It is now 11:35 and all is well in both camps. For whatever reason, more comfortable, udder relieved, or hormones raging with new birth, Capri is cleaning her babies and seems to be letting them nurse, The black buck was nursing when I last looked. Summer has been on her feed with all three crowding around looking for dinner.
This is how it is supposed to go! It likely usually goes or we wouldn't have so many goats because it would be too sad. So, this weekend, my herd tripled! It looks like all will be well with Capri and her babies and certainly for Summer and her babies. Ginger is outside calling but first she tried to eat the raspberry vines, first things first, after all.
Color me HAPPY!!!
(Photos later after I eat and settle down a bit, not necessarily in that order.)

Yea, and to think that I was thinking that with 9 FFs to go I could easily double my present total of 18 over a few months time! You tripled in one weekend. WOW! That is really cool. And you know what? The whole town is gonna be coming by to look through your fence when word gets out! HEHE! You are gonna have a blast showing them off!
SO happy for you, Capri, Summer, and all the kids too! :) What a miraculous, delightful, busy and sometimes difficult time! Can't wait to see pictures! :)

CONGRADULATIONS!!!! I’m so happy it went so smoothly this time. And your other mom seams to be bonding with her new little ones. Big sigh of relief. Great job goat momma. I didn’t see that you mentioned if they were bucks or does? CONGRADULATIONS! Can't wait to see pics.
It was perfect. Don't worry about the grammar right now. We know how to read EXCITED around here. And I am excited for you too! Soooo much so that I can not tell you how happy I am for you right now!
Just read that over, lots of typing errors, hope you can translate especially that Summer was on her feet (not feed!).
