I have a yearling doe that I put in with a buck from April 18 to May 11 or so. I saw him mount her, so I thought she was pregnant, but today she has a little bit of bright red blood on her vulva. Is that a sign of heat? Miscarriage? She is taking the sulfa tabs with the rest of my herd, would that cause a miscarriage? or maybe it was my oldest doe butting her? Any ideas?

Ok. =( If that is the case, then no babies or milk until next May or June... unless my other two does got pregnant at the same time, but I don't think they did.
I was told by vets that it's a sign of miscarriage, and that's been correct in my experience. No idea whether sulfa tabs can cause it, but I'm pretty sure that a doe butting her at this stage wouldn't do anything. You won't really see anything other than a little blood if they abort in the first month because the babies are so tiny.
