Prayer, please, for a fellow goat lover

Folks,

A couple of days ago, I left a message for Joann, previous owner of my girls.  I was wanting to take Ginger out to spend a few hours with Crazy.  Today, her daughter called me to return the call since it was about goats (and her mom loves her goats!).  Joann is very ill; she was diagnosed just this past Monday with Leukemia.  Things went downhill rapidly with, among other things, her having a stroke and having ongoing bleeding.  This is further complicated because she is IGA Deficient and can only have blood from someone else who is - there is literally only one in our area compatible.

A week ago today, she was living her life normally but went to the doctor the next day mostly because of odd bruises she was getting.  Today, she is fighting for her life and is in "the bubble" because of immune issues.

Please send prayer and positive thoughts for this very kind and loving woman, one of our sisters.

Thank you.

  • My prayers continue for her, her family and the animals who are no doubt missing her.

  • I am so sorry, Glenna. That is just terrible. :( Thoughts and prayers to you guys.

  • I spoke with Joann's daughter this afternoon.  Joann left yesterday to watch over all our lost baby goats.  Her daughter was with her.  I keep seeing her proudly smiling face as she looked and talked about her little friends and remember how excited she was with the interaction between the four-footed and two-footed kids.

I told her daughter her transition was as peaceful as it could be with so many hundreds of people praying for her and many, many of those from here.

Thank you ever so very much everyone,

  • Do keep us informed. I feel just awful for these folks! It is always hard, but to have these things suddenly happen like this is such a shock. I just can't wrap my head around how hard this is for them to deal with! It is so very tragic!

  • Thank you, everyone, for prayers, etc., for Joann, her family and goats.  I will update later i the week, hopefully with hopeful news.  Her  daughter said drs said she likely won't make it through the week - so very much hope there is a real miracle on its way.

  • Our prayers go out to her and her family.

  • Prayers and love to Joann and her human and animal family.

  • ~Lord, I life Joann up to you asking for her healing, and that You would meet all the needs of her family and livestock.~  Thank you, Glenna, for sharing this.  I'm part of a prayer team that prays every Monday night for people who request prayer for healing.  I'll share this request with the team tonight, and we will pray together. :)

  • Lord, Bless Joann and all her family, friends and livestock! Hugs to all of you!

  • Oh, my! Prayers and hugs to Joann and you and her family and goats!
