Please, any of you who pray, pray for my sister in law and family over the next few days. She is getting a scan within the next couple of hours to see what has happened with the cancer over the last 6 months. Tomorrow morning they will meet with the Dr. to hear the results. She will also be having a small surgery to get her port removed tomorrow afternoon. Please pray for healing, peace, and safety for her, and for all of us who love her. She is mother to a 5 year old and twin 1 1/2 year olds. Very emotional week for all of us. If you are praying this week, please let me know. This is a very emotional week for all of us, and your encouragement will mean so much to me personally.

Praying for good news.
Thank you all so very much! We are holding up fairly well. Our family has the children most of the time now, and my SIL is only able to visit with them a bit in the mornings. It's so hard, and sad, but it's going better than I could have thought possible. Their dad (my brother) is able to stop in to see them when he can, but is torn between being with them and being with his wife. :( Hard stuff.
I just saw this, Patty, and prayed and will keep praying for your sister in law and your entire family.
You ,have my prayers, Patty, and hopes for a miracle. he new treatments for cancer now are amazing, and I know several people who have recovered against all odds.
i just read the discussion. i pray that you are doing well. we will continue to pray for your family.
good luck
may your god bless you
Thinking of your family members, both Patty and Myra. Sending prayers and healing wishes your way. May your entire families have strength and be gently guided through these difficult times. The report sounds hopeful, Patty. Sincere best wishes.
Thanks everyone, again. I finally have a moment where I have access to a computer, so here goes. The scan revealed that the colon mass has not changed at all. However, the metastasized areas (in the liver, hip, lungs, and more) have all doubled in size. The very good news right now is that the pain she was experiencing is mostly due to constipation and they can get that under control. They are very hopeful, and thinking over some new options for treatment that have been offered to them. Sounds frightening to me, but there's a new drug in the testing phase, and she qualifies to be in the trial for it. They are considering whether that is something they want to try, mostly because the side affects aren't being reported to be as severe as chemo, and she would most likely be able to enjoy her time with her family more with this option. So, more wait and see. I appreciate all the prayers, and a big {(HUG)} to you all.
Sending prayers to you and your entire family!
Thank you, all of you! I should hear something today, I'd think. I sure hope so, anyway. Will give an update as soon as I have one.
