1 overgrown feet Posted by Beth Courtney on May 28, 2015 at 2:52pm in Health What are the best scissors for trimming the goats feet? I've left them far to long and they have overgrown. The garden snips don't work. Views: 211 You need to be a member of Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats to add comments! Join Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats Email me when people reply – Follow

Works great to finish up after trimming! Haven't replaced mine yet, but even when I do, it's only a dollar! :)
it's sharp enough? I buy new blades at the home improvement store - they dont last long! and $5 a pop.
I was pretty pleased with myself for thinking of it. lol They work GREAT!

Oh Rachel--that's a great idea!
I use a foot grater from the Dollar Tree for my rasp! lol
thank for the info, and for the goat supply site.
use the same ones as well - plus a rasp. :) a hand rasp in the tool dept. at any home improvement store. :)
I bought the same kind that Rachel likes for about 20 bucks at the local feed store. The ones that they told me were actually for trimming hoofs were HUGE. Glad I picked the right ones! :D
You can purchase hoof trimmers on line. I use this kind: http://www.caprinesupply.com/new-green-hoof-trimmer.html and while they look a lot like garden snips, they are NOT.
