Hi All!
My goats eat a lot of browse all day including this time of year- oak leaves on the ground. A friend collects all sorts of leaves including oak leaves and offers them during the winter. But my hay guy who raises Alpines suggests that oak leaves are toxic.
What is your experience on oak leaves?

The general consensus here in this group is in agreement with the "not toxic" crowd. I personally have oak trees in my goat's pen, and they LOVE them.
Ditto on Patty's comment. My goats eat them like crazy on my property since there are MANY oaks on it. No worries on the oak leaves, it is apparently a misnomer that they are poisonous to goats!
I have talked with SO many people who let their goats eat oak leaves. I would say definitely not poisonous. :)
