my babies are here!

ok this isn't really a birth announcement, and one of my "babies" is not a baby - but this is the best place to introduce my first goats. We picked them up last weekend.

Here is Reese, our wether. 10 weeks old - he was four pounds at birth so he looks much older than he is :)

This is Penny, our doling. 9 weeks old. Just the sweetest little princess. She loves to chew on everyone's hair, including mama's beard. She gets away with it because she's just so darn cute.

And Dot, our doe that gives us milk. She's still a little stressed from the move so not giving us as much milk as she was at her original home, but I think we're going to get it all worked out. I'll probably have lots of questions for you all in regards to milking her, but I'll save that for another post. I love getting to spend my mornings with her. After every few bites of tree branches and grass she comes to give me the best goatie kisses and loves. She's such a sweetheart. Yesterday I was having kind of a blue morning and I swear she could tell and was giving me extra attention to cheer me up.
