So I have this DN buck from good stock ...I got him at 10 weeks and know breeder and herd so I am kind of lost here. He will be 2 years old Oct and has been let in with my does on various occasions for breeding sessions. Still no kids and this last session I noticed he seemed to be unable to maintain or get a full erection. He is a bit over weight and I have him trimming down. He forages here in Hawaii and I add copper mineral blocks and seaweed. I also noticed that he is not as stinky as other bucks I ve been around. Any suggestions from experienced goat ladies...would be really great.
He gets 2 cups daily of organic alfala pellets that's it ...plus the forage which is shrubs, trees, wild orchards, that good stuff.
Mahalo from the big Island of Hawaii....where a half bale of Alfala Orchard grass cost $17 yes $17 ....

When you say you give copper mineral blocks, what do you mean? Most mineral blocks have too much salt for goats to be able to self monitor their needs right. Copper has a direct connection to fertility, so that might be an issue. It's probably where I would start. Switch to loose minerals, with high copper content, and give Copper Oxide Wire Particles (COWP) to boost his levels.
Oh I forgot to add he has three does two who have freshened before
