Just wanted to introduce myself. I am thrilled to have found this group.
I am a blessed to be married, stay home/homeschool Momma to 3 daughters. We are incredibly thankful to have been able to acquire 3 1/2 acres in Northern Indiana. It's a beautiful wooded property. The house needs tons of work but the Lord dropped it in our lap and we are ever so excited.
I am very fond of goats and am happy to say my husband is considering them after realizing the extensive amount of poison ivy & poison oak that are on the property! (He's a practical/frugal guy - things most have purpose for him! :)
I am hoping to purchase 3 ND goats next spring.
Happy to join and learn more from all of you!
Blessings,
"Momma Jo"

welcome!
Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome! I can already tell what a friendly, kind group this is! It is also indeed fun to realize how many fellow homeschoolers are on here too.
Hello and welcome to the group! My family is also a fellow homeschooling family! Glad you found us and could join us..
Hey, Momma Jo, you will love the folks on here and there is a wealth of information in the minds of the folks here all to be shared. It is just wonderful! Yes, lots of homeschoolers do get goats! The Nubians I had many years ago came from a pastors wife of the church that was our homeschool covering. Oh, yes I too use to homeschool. I have 7 children from 9-29. My 3rd is leaving for bootcamp in Oct. which will give me 2 army soldiers, 3 away from home and 4 still home. This year I will have 2 in 9th grade, 1 in 7th and my baby in the 4th. I may homeschool again one day but right now I am just not up to it so my best to all of you who do! It is a blessed thing to do. I believe having goats is a very blessed thing too. I understand about your hubby feeling they should have a purpose and when you get to know about the milk and cheeses (and I hope butter)... you will see the practicality of having some goats. Some of us on here also eat goat so hubby may be interested in that also.
Welcome! We also homeschooled, and my baby heads off to the University of Illinois this fall. Funny how many goat people homeschool!
Welcome Mama Jo!
Glad you found us...I'm new here too, so sending my biggest Texas Howdy!
If I had it to do again I'd surely home school my kids.Pretty sure they'd never step off the farm . I think homeschooling is the best way to raise kids & educate them.
