Well, this is embarrassing!

My only defense is the extreme amount of stress the day Summer kidded with all of Capri's agony and trying to save Baby #3.  The three doelings Summer gave birth to?  They are not!  I let them out in the yard to play today, their first time for so much freedom.  I was watching them pretty closely since Capri and her buckling were also out.  One of them stopped to urinate . . . whoops, clearly *not* a doeling.  I turned each of them upside down, each objecting loudly as I checked.  Two of my doelings are bucklings!  So she had buckling, doeling, buckling.  Now my grand total, after yesterday's tragedy, is one doeling and three bucklings.

This is a major whoops!  It does, however, solve the problem of who I keep since there is only one doeling.  It should be "squeak-by-able" to have four here.  Even though this doeling is not Crazy's daughter, I still would like to keep her, at least until her first kidding and see how she milks, and she is such a pretty thing.

  • Well, I had to admit it.  Sooner or later someone would pick up in my postings that I did *not* have three doelings. <g>

  • Oops, indeed! That is funny! Thanks for sharing it with us! :)

  • That is just to darn funny! I thought you were going to have made a mistake about one, but two? LOL! Like you said, you were really stressed! But it's still funny as crap! LOL, yes I am laughing at you, hehe! Sounds like something I would do! So it's ok if I laugh about it.
