Caramel presented us with a set of healthy twin bucks just a little while ago! This is her second freshening. It went very quickly. Both babies came out properly positioned, and they were up, nursing happily, and cruising around in seconds, literally. :P

The white one was firstborn. He looks just like a teeny weeny little Saanen! :P The spitting image of his sire. And the brown and white one looks like Caramel only darker.

Alas, since they are both boys, we can't keep them and will have to find new homes for them at some point. :( But maybe that is a good thing and will keep me from being overrun by goats! Lol.

I am SO thankful that everything went well. Classic textbook birth, and I saw most if not all of the afterbirth come out so far. Whew.

Caramel seems chipper, and has drunk a bunch of water and eaten some alfalfa. I am sitting on the couch looking out through the glass sliding door, watching them in their pen which is right under the porch roof. <3 <3 Such cuteness!

  • Sweet!  Congratulations. :)  Kidding season is usually such a fun time.  I love seeing what all the new babies look like, and watching them explore the world.
