A friend of mine posted this last night on Facebook - and I just had to share. :)
WE ARE GOAT PEOPLE
We are goat people. You don't have to understand us! We have no problem eating a sandwich after cleaning the barn or petting a goat. Most days our cologne/perfume is odu du-buck or barn.
We don't find anything wrong or sexual about watching for a successful breeding or holding a doe for one of the bucks.
We do not find the birthing process sickening in fact we will sit in our barns for hours waiting for this.
We could state just about every goat in our goats pedigrees and we spend hours studying them.
We can lower our voice instantly by 5 octaves to shout at a goat which is eating something it shouldn‘t or headed for trouble.
We have our own language.
We will rather quit a relationship than our hobby.
We take better care of our goats than ourselves.
We can tell 20 different descriptions and causes for goat illnesses.
We would go without just to keep our goats healthy.
We know more about our goats diet than our own.
We use words and see things which would even embarrass a seaman.
We at times will spend great amounts of money on our goats, and work harder then at our jobs.
We also know that cleaning the barn or sitting quietly with our goats is the best cure for depression.
We know that our goats love us more than most people could. Our goats are more than just farm animals, or pets, they are our children.
We have no problem bringing our goats into our home, we know it will be messy but we do, we have diapers in all sizes on hand!
We take tons of pictures and make a FB page for our herd/farm to post them on, we find kids cuter then any human baby born and will sit there and cuddle with them as they fall asleep in our arms and be totally at peace. Nothing brings a smile to our faces like our goats.
Even more we don’t care if you understand us, nor do we want your opinion on goats if you don't have them, don't like them or don't understand being a goatie. Goats are our reason for being and if you can't understand that then feel free to unsubscribe to our posts. :-)
