Warning when sending kids to new homes

Hi All - you all probably know this but I'm passing it on just in case....

I had some woman call me last week looking for a kid. I had none for sale but asked her what her interests were.  She said... her friend had just brought home 2 kids - 10 weeks old.  As they were taking out one of the kids from the crate - the baby leaped out of the 16 year old girls arms and ran into the woods. Kid hadn't been seen again after that moment. The other kid was obviously left alone and the lost kid was probably eaten or certainly horribly afraid.

Accidents happen but given this little scenario - when I place my kids - they are placed with collars on, with leashes attached to collars and brought into the safe area before anything is removed.  I can't imagine anything worse than my baby being lost all alone in the woods.

I suggested they take the remaining baby and put her in the crate and sit next to her at the edge of the woods in hopes her cries would entice the other baby to return.

Oh so sad.
