  • Well, she sure looks like Zuni! Maybe she has some of the same background. I just thought she might be her daughter or something since she looks so much like her. MCH Twin Creeks PH Summer Solstice *S is Zuni's sire, I don't guess he is behind your girl. Hum, coincidence I guess, that they favor so much.

Yea, I know what you mean about color, I obviously am not breeding for color either since I have 3 chocolate does, not to mention so many buckskins. But since they have so much color behind them then it is bound to come out sooner or later.

Yea, Promisedland, that's why I expect moonspots from Quill. Almost everyone on his sires side is a Promisedland. You know they can throw them spots!

  • Margaret, my profile pic is a Rosasharn doe not related to Lora's herd but I do have one doe and a buck from her. I dont really breed for color but one of my Promisedland bucks will throw a faint moonspot or two.

  • Tiffany, I went for quality first and am very happy with what I have so far. I should get the striking colors also this year but I have not purchased blue eyes yet. I had to put a lot of effort into finding the blue eyes in the quality that I wanted and have located what I want. I intend to purchase a blue eyed buck out of a breeding that is to kid this fall.  So I won't have that for a while. I am sure that when I get my first blue eyes I will feel they were worth the wait since they will be on great quality goats. As far as polled goes, I don't have that either and just am not worried about it personally since I would still have a bunch of  horned ones to disbud, so what the heck I'll just do them all.

Sent you some photos of a few of my guys kids from his other farm where he was bred so you can get an idea of what he threw and what I expect! Hope you like them. You should find them in your email.

  • Margaret that sounds great i seen your goats i would love to see what your chocolate does throw. I like the ones that look like a cookie. And it looks like the chocolate goats throw that color. Yes i would perfer a buck. And if i wanted to get my dream buck it would be a polled, blue eyed moonspotted boy. But i will not get that greedy. My email is ricktiffe@yahoo.com

  • Tiffany, do you have an email I can send you a pic to? It isn't my pic so I don't want to post it world wide here but I will send it to someones email. And I would like your opinion of  if it is about what you are looking for.

  • Tiffany, I can't say for sure right now, but there is a possibility that I might can help you. I am in Mobile, Al. My brother-in-law is from Mo. and he and my sister go up there a couple times a year. They also raise myotonic goats and deliver around the country.

I also have a son in Clarkesville, Tn. so that could help cause it is closer than here.

I have 9 does that I bought from Lora at Prairie Wood out of New Mexico. My web-site is www.bentpennyacres.com Mine are not so colorful but are out of Lora' wonderfully colored stock and will have those knids of colors on their kids. Both my bucks have moonspots and my proven buck throwed some awesome kids last year. He sired the most gorgeous moonspotted little buck I have ever seen.

Just remember these pics on my site are in real need of updating. They are actually the pics that Lora let me use from when I bought the girls. They are very old. The ladies have turned out just beautiful!

At any rate there is a very good possibility I will have what you are looking for and they have super proven lines for milk and conformation.

I think that if I were you if you like the spots that much you may actually want a buck!

Amy, everytime I see your profile pic I think of our Queen Tilly' Momma "Prairie Wood Zuni". She looks just like that. Did this goat come from Lora? Is she related to Zuni?

  • Thanks Amy will look her site up. Guess i need to see how much it would cost to transport from there.

  • Also 1 other opion if anyone go to the shows in this area i could pick them up at 1 of the shows.

  • Tiffany, my friend Lora at Prarie Wood Nigerians in New Mexico specializes in color. Has lots of moonspots. Check out her website and tell her I sent you. Lora sends goats all over the country, so if you cant find any she would be a good bet.

    Amy
