Transport needed from SoCal north

We had a very rough week this week.  On Monday our doe Tsuanmi had a c-section and ended up with three beautiful kids that didn't survive.   Then Wednesday morning my daughter and I found her dead.   My daughter (7 yrs old) is convinced that Tsunami "died because she missed her babies too much."

Tsunami came to us two years ago in a trade from a breeder that lives in southern CA. The doe I traded for Tsunami was due about the same time and had quads on the 2nd (3 does, 1 buck) and upon hearing about our loss the breeder generously offered to give us the buck kid to help us over our loss.

But we need to find transport for him at least half way up here. She is located near China Lake (hwy 395) and can meet someone in Mojave (near Edwards Air Force base). I can meet someone in Reno (hwy 395) or Sacramento (I-5) or any where north of those locations.

If you happen to be traveling north from that area and have room for a bottle baby we sure would appreciate it if he could hitch a ride.

Thanks!

  • Thanks - never did find transport for the little guy up here.

At least we had a good kidding yesterday - quads (2&2) from my fav doe Mame' and everyone seems to be doing well.

  • sorry Jane, not what I expected to see on your page. Sorry for the kids too, know this was hard for them.

  • So sorry to hear of your loss! Wish I could help with transport, but I'm in Illinois.

  • Hej from Sweden,

Oh Jane, I am so sorry for your loss . I can not imagine what you and your family must be going through. As an animal lover, I cry when I see a fish floating in one if my tanks I cry. We lost one of our babies, Little Miracle. his mother Pumpkin really mourned the loss of her little buckling. It was so sad for such a long time. It's been since August and I still miss him.

You can see Little Miracle, his sister Rose and mother Pumpkin on my blog: http://gullringstorpgoatsblog.wordpress.com

It really is nice of the family to give you one of the bucklings!

Sorry I live too far to be able to help with transportation. Good luck.
