  • I purchased a used portable milking machine that I had to buy goat parts for. I first contacted Hoegger and they were extremely helpful but they didn't have the parts I needed in stock and I was in a hurry so I ended up buying from Hamby. The people at Hamby were also helpful and my order made it to me in Canada within 2 weeks. I liked both of them.

I do have a regular bucket milker, not a belly milker so I have no idea if the following information is of any use,  but I did buy the Vanguard Nigerian Dwarf milking unit with silicone milk hose from Hamby (if you just search for Vanguard on their site it will show up as a search result). The description says it will fit NDGs and most full-size goats, and I had no trouble using it on my LaManchas as well as my NDGs.

  • thank you for the info on size, I do have one that is larger than the others. Where do you reccomend that I by parts?

  • A cow claw has four inflations, but you only need two for a goat, so yes, you need to buy a goat set-up. I have both sizes (regular and mini goat) for my milking machine, and the regular ones work fine, so you don't have to get the mini inflations if you also have standard goats. If your goats have really thick teats, you might actually have trouble getting them into mini inflations.
