So I thought I would post a baby announcement because I am excited about our newest litter! Oreo seems to be doing well at mothering, for the most part, though I must watch to make sure all 3 babies get enough to eat. They are so stinkin' CUTE!!

The little black and white spotted one is the buckling. He was firstborn and came out backwards, but is doing fine. It will be hard to sell him, but we already have two bucks. So I am not naming him. :P I do hope I can find a good home for him, probably as a wether. If he inherits Oreo's sweetness, he will be a great pet.
The buff colored one is (wait for it) Buffy the Vampire Slayer (OF course :). She is the second born and biggest. When she landed on the ground, still covered in the sack, she started hollering and walking around like a gerbil in one of those plastic rolling balls, until Oreo licked it off. Veeeeery precocious. It was quite funny to watch.
Then the black doeling, pictured with Buffy, is Cookie Monster. Third born, smaller than Buffy but bigger than the little buck. She is so sweet. When you pick her up she gives you kisses. She and Buffy both have Oreo's frosted ears.
Right now we can keep some of the girl babies since we are still building up our herd and seeing what kind of genetics and production we have. Man it's gonna be hard to sell babies later on. :P Ah well. It is part of raising goats. And it sure is fun to see them when they are tiny. And their little squeaky voices!! So adorable!

GAH!! The CUTE!! I can't TAKE IT!! lol They are precious!! I really like their markings. All of them. Especially Buffy's.
