Hello,
I am very interested in the Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goat, I really like everything I read about them. I am having a very difficult time locating any in South West Ontario. We are located just 10 minutes from Algonac Michigan USA as well, just not sure what is involved in importing from the US. Appreciate any comments or feedback or hearing from any breeders near me. Located near Windsor/london Ontario.
Also love to hear more about these goats and the milk/cheese etc from their milk.
thank you
Kristen

Hi Kristen
We have 2 doelings and 3 buckling available if you're interested. You can see them at www.bashertfarm.com We are in SouthEastern Ontario but can arrange transportation.

This is the membership list showing dairy members of the Ontario Goat Breeders Association. Some have NDGs, although I don't know how close to you they would be:

I'm in Saskatchewan and purchased my goats from Victoria.
I don't know any breeders in Ontario although I think I have stumbled across some in the past while doing a google search.
As for importing from the US, the information from the Canada Food Inspection Agency can be found here:

I've been thinking about importing a buck as there isn't a huge NDG gene pool in Canada. From the looks of it bucks require less hoop-jumping to import than does do.
Hope this little bit of info helps!
