I've been itching to try my hand a butter making with the milk I'm getting from Cayenne but I don't have a cream separator. Is it possible to make butter without separating the cream out? The cream doesn't separate on its own very much so I don't think I can just scrape it off the top like you would cows milk. How do the rest of you do it?

It takes a few days but you can skim off the cream. Years ago I would collect the cream in a container in the freezer until I had enough to make butter. Now we have a cream separator. This has been discussed on here before and other people have some different experiences to share. Hopefully they'll chime in, or you might be able to find the old discussion(s).
