I have someone interested in a nigerian buck for her 4 alpines. I know it is possible, but is it commonly done? Thanks Shannon

We breed our LaManchas to our Nigerian bucks. It has worked with 4 of the 5 LaManchas. The 5th has freshened previously, just not for us. We're giving her one more chance this fall.
And there seems to be quite a few 'mini' breeds in development so I think it's fairly common. There's even a National Miniature Goat Association.
