My husband has agreed to buy me a set of electric trimmers for Christmas. Any suggestions on the best set to get? I have never owned a pair so have no idea what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Those are the clippers I bought too - I dont show, but do like to clean up the ladies in the summer - and I do bathe them first. These clippers are excellent. I got a good price through Jeffers - at the time they were a few dollars off.
We have the Oster A5 Turbo 2-Speed Professional Animal Clipper. I love it. I send the blades to Premier1Supplies for sharpening. I bought enough blades so that I only had to send them in once a year (or less) when we were showing goats. A blade will do full body cuts on 4-5 adult does before it starts to get dull, but it'll only last on 2-3 bucks because they have more coarse hair. The blades also last longer if you bathe the goats first so that they're not cutting through dirt, which dulls them. I think it's about $5 to get them sharpened. Most people use a size 10 blade for the body, and for show, some people use a size 30, but that scares me because it's easy to cause clipper burn with that one because it cuts so close.
