Dolly kidded last night with a Buck & a Doe. The buck came first and was HUGE! She had some difficulty getting him out. Poor girl :( Everyone is well now :) She is FINALLY happy in her kidding stall too!!!

They are beautiful!
Aren't they beautiful! So glad Dolly realized "mom" does know best!
Deborah I completely agree with you! Ive always disliked that term too. I haven't been present for a birth besides my kids since I watched kittens born as a child. Soooo all I had to go by was reading online and a couple books. Its all new to me and what better way to learn but hands on!!! :) I have got to get to your place for a class, tour or just to meet you! I have to say I am impressed ! Thanks!
Well, you never heard that from me. :) I don't think I see that in even ten percent of does in labor. And I cringe when I hear people talk about "mucous plug!" People don't even have that. I used to be a childbirth educator in a previous life, and that term used to drive me crazy. Saying there is a plug makes it sound like there is this thing that's gotta come out before the baby, and it doesn't work like that. There is mucous in birth -- that's as much as I can say definitively. Sometimes you see it ahead of time, sometimes you don't. Generally a huge amount means something, but a small amount doesn't mean anything necessarily. No two births are alike.
No, I thought I had read it was called streaming when they have a long stream of goo coming out while in labor and after that you have a little while before it progresses to pushing labor?? I had seen pics of it and was watching for this and mucus plug. Only Dolly showed the mucus plug and neither had the stream of stuff. I had read and read and was watching for all these things and then most of them didnt even occur! LOL!

Did you mean screaming? If so, yeah, first fresheners do a lot more screaming than experienced does. Poor things don't know what's going on!

Everything was fine! And not exactly as I had read with the streaming and all.
Congratulations! Oh, this is so exciting. I am thinking the next 2 months are going to be l-o-n-g for me. This is almost as bad as waiting for my own babies. Can you tell I'm not good at being patient? LOL
Congratulations!
Congrats!! They are so cute.
