Background: This morning David let the goats out, and let the chickens out and left the chicken tractor open. When I woke up around 6:30 the goats were in the chicken tractor eating the chicken food. so we got them out and closed up the bottom half leaving one of the top doors open so the chickens could get in and out, because it was more than 4 ft off the ground I felt reasonably sure that the goats would leave it alone. And when I left for work David was still doing yard work. I warned David not to let them get into the chicken tractor and eat the food...BUT
When I got home I drove up to the gate and saw two little goats lounging in the chicken tractor near the feeder, The tractor wide open, top and bottom. I was mad,
I get close to the chicken tractor and climb in one hip at a time to pull them out. I get goat number 2 out fine, I put him on the porch and close the door so he can't get back in to the chicken tractor while I am getting number 1 out.
So I am getting close to the tractor again when I see that number one has one of his back feet off the ground, and I get even more mad, then I climb back into the chicken tractor and realize his horn got ripped off!!! So NOW I am ready to put David in his figurative dog house!
Thankfully there was not that much food left in the chicken tractor to begin with... So I come inside and David said the injuries happened while he was trying to pull number 1 out of the chicken tractor after I left for work, apparently they both jumped more than 4 ft high and got into the top of the tractor, went down the ramp and munched on the food. As he was trying to get the goat out, and the goat was trying to stay in his foot caught on something, and during the struggle to free him David must have somehow dislodged the horn.
The leg isn't broken, but he does favor it and it does seem a bit sore to him when I examine it. The missing horn area is a bit red, and scabby in a couple of places but not actively bleeding. The other horn seems to be well attached, but he doesn't want me to touch it. I am wondering if the missing horn will grow back or not. If it will should I get the vet to burn the area asap? Is there anything I can do to help his leg or horn booboos? What can I do for his pain?
Thank you for your help

I called, but the vet was not in, she said that he should call me by tomorrow at the latest. He is not walking on his keg at the moment but I will keep an eye on him until the vet gets back to me.
