I'm super excited. I finally think my does are settled. I could go the blood test route, but I'm just going to wait it out. I thought my grey doe was succesfully bred in November, but at the beggining of this month she had a strand of clear mucus, weird! So then she went into heat again on the 8th of this month & I put her in with my buck for the day. She's due to go back into heat this weekend, so I'll find out soon. :D
My red & white doe is HUGE & her day 140 would be April 4th. I have yet to see an udder so should I start seeing one soon? Last year she aborted at the 3 month mark & I only saw a single fetus. That was heartbreaking.
Sorry, had to share. Noone else would get this excitement. :P

  • Thanks Rachel!
    Fingers crossed for you Julieanne!
I hope my doe really is prego & not just really fat. Still no signs of any udder development.

  • Speaking of does driving you insane, my FF threw me a curve ball too. I had her bred in mid January, she came back into heat in early February so I assumed she wasn't pregnant. I was getting all ready to bring her back for another breeding this weekend, when she was due to be in heat again. Well, she's gone all weekend without a single sign of heat, and she's normally very obvious and on time about her heats.

So maybe she is pregnant after all, and she just didn't have enough pregnancy hormone to keep her from going into heat the last time. Guess I'll just have to go into wait and see mode. Arggh!

  • and congratulations!!

  • Yes, I believe she would still be considered a FF.

  • Oh, & will the doe that aborted still be considered a FF? She never got an udder if that matters.
