I am new to Nigerian goats and i was wondering about there breeding

Yes, Nigerians are said to cycle year round. Mine seem to, but there are seasons where even though they seem to cycle, their heats aren't as strong.

That said: I personally don't like keeping my bucks with my does. There are a few reasons.

Not knowing when they have bred, (because you WILL miss it.) means not knowing due dates. Nigerians kid with multiples, and often at a faster rate between kids than most other breeds, which means: If you don't know when a doe is due, you're likely to miss their delivery, and because of the speed of delivery the chances of losing second or third (or more) kids is higher, because the dam doesn't have time to get noses cleaned off between kids.
Bucks STINK. They make anyone living with them stink too. This means you're going to smell like a buck EVERY TIME you go into the girl's pens. Even if you don't touch the buck.
Because of their stink, and the ability to rub it off onto EVERYONE, there is a very good chance that stink will end up on your girl's udders, and if you are milking, then your milk is going to taste like you dipped it in buck stank.
For the reason that you mentioned, about breeding too soon after kidding.

Those are my top reasons for not housing my bucks in the same pen as my girls.
