So I have started feeding my girls lespedeza as a preventative measure, and it's just another part of their daily ration currently. I was wondering if there is a minimum amount they have to ingest to be beneficial? Can I feed it with their alfalfa/timothy/etc or do they have to eat it only to have positive results - any thoughts? Thanks.

Here is another article on lespedeza:

You can buy lespedeza pellets (similar idea as alfalfa pellets) online. The shipping is really expensive though.

Thank you so much for the clarification!!
After posting my comment, I found different varieties online - native to US and foreign.. does it matter which strain it is? I would hate to invest in something that doesn't work just because I can find it in bulk.
Not to mention I would prefer to buy American if I could find seed in bulk!! Just haven't found any yet..
Thanks for the info, I guess I will continue what I'm doing since I will only have it as long as Countryside Organics has it in stock.. is there any way to access seed to grow your own? I'm going to start doing barley fodder and was thinking maybe that would be a good possibility if it's accessible. Would it have the same benefits as a sprout?
