  • I purchased a milking doe last month so my daughter could have the milk. I'm on the clock so to speak with how long she will keep giving me milk. Her previous owner breeds for show only, not for milk. Being a first freshener, I'm pressing my luck for milk. I needed to get my yearlings milking as soon as possible...
  • Your herd is just a couple does smaller than mine at the moment! Haven't bred this year... hoping for later spring babies than we had last year.

  • I have 4 doe yearlings, 2 bucklings, and one doe who is a milking first freshener. I bred my yearlings, and I believe 3 of the 4 are expecting. They are about 18 to 20 months old, and about 30 days pregnant. I'm waiting for my two doe that didnt settle to go into heat to breed them. Hopefully this spring we have a bunch of kids :-) but for now we have a total of 7.
  • Welcome!! How many NDG to you have?
