Well I'm kinda new to the goat thing
I have a baby goat that's just 6 weeks old
His name is Harley
I'm from the central ny area close to syracuse ny
I've been reading up on the care of this baby but I must say
There are a lot of. Conflicting answers
Thank god my vet has goats
So I can ask him also...
Harley is a. Nigerian dwarf pygmy goat
Andy he's the most precious thing I've ever seen
As of right now he lives in the house with me he has a nice big carte he sleeps in
And seems to be very happy ..
I more then likely will have about 1 million questions to ask
So thanks ahead of time for putting up with me
Freddy
Hi
And thank you so much
Rebecca. :))))
Don't get me wrong I love dogs in fact I have a dog rescue
And I fight for there lives everyday across the USA
On facebook...
Before there killed in there so called shelters
Wethers (that's a "fixed" boy goat, just in case you didn't know.) get along just fine! Unless you're breeding, there's no reason to keep bucks, so I recommend they both be fixed, but you can definitely keep two boys together. :) Especially if they are both wethered.
Lol lol lol
Understood!!
He does spend. Lot of the day outside
He just sleeps in his crate at night
And he soooooo far is very good at that
I have a golden retriever boy that just loves him in fact Harley just finished
Climbing all over him lol lol
Oh, he's got you fooled! LOL! They do seem better than dogs when they're little, but then ...! We evicted one kid at only about three days of age because he jumped on top of the CD player and was tap dancing on it, and it broke. I had a house lamb once that chewed up the electrical cord for my computer. Thankfully she wasn't electrocuted. I've had goats try to eat the ribbons at goat shows, and I have no idea what they're made of, but I'm sure they are not good for them. Your little guy probably will start eating paper at some point. Most do because paper is made from wood pulp, and goats are browsers, so they love trees and bushes. And as they get older, they really do need to spend a huge part of their day eating, so unless you want a hay feeder in your house, you'll probably decide it's time for him to move out.
Deborah::
Geez I haven't had that paper issue yet
Only issue with him so far as when I feed the dogs he runs to go grab
A piece of dog food
And I guess that's not good for him so I put him in his crate till the dogs are done
I would love to make him a house goat
The truth is he is better acting then the dogs... :))))
