Goats in the moonlight

Tonight when I went out to put the goats to bed, I felt badly.  Putting them to bed entails giving them carrot treats and putting Ginger in the crate for the night.  They were all three laying in the far corner of the pen where the moonlight was shining down on them - it was so sweet (and I didn't take the camera!)  I felt guilty calling them in to lock up Ginger. :-(

We so rarely have a clear moonlight night like tonight - I hope they do it again and I remember the camera.

  • I know just what you mean Glenna, as beautiful as they are lying at rest in the daytime under a tree chewing their cud or atop some obstacle they have climbed, there is nothing quite like seeing their little silhouettes in the moonlight. It just doesn't get any more peaceful than that. I see mine scattered around and just can't help but to just stare at them. Sometimes depending on the moons stage and exactly where they are, I find myself guessing who is who. I often go out of my way not to disturb them because I feel guilty also.
