As usual, I never know exactly where to put my posts. Anyway...how much grain should three 9 week old kids be eating (combined)? Two are bucklings and are weaned (sold their mama three days ago) and one is the single doe of a FF. They eat hay and they eat any grain I put in their "creep stall". However, they will not touch alfalfa pellets. These are all hale and hearty kids. I've been giving them 1/2 cup 16% to split AM and PM. Enough? Too much?

Thank you! I asked for the right thing at the feed store, but I could NOT remember what it was when I was typing last night!! lol
It's ammonium chloride -- not aluminum --

but I'm sure you can find it in other places also.
I'm having trouble getting aluminium chloride to put in my boy's feed... any ideas? (and did I even SPELL that right!?)
I learned my lesson feeding too much grain to a male goat. My goat needed surgery to have a stone cut out of his urine track. Some goats are prone to urinary calculi. I also make sure I feed medicated feed to the boys and they only get 1/4 cup grain each and plenty of hay as I do no have a place for them to graze or pick.
Do you means 1/2 cup for each feeding or both combined (so 1/4 cup for each feeding)? Either would probably be okay for the doe, but I'd only give the bucks 1/4 cup each feeding because of urinary calculi. Don't worry about the alfalfa pellets if they're getting good quality hay.
