Hello People!!
Farm dogs -- everyone has them, so let's start a discussion to find the most popular breeds, shall we!!
I'll start! RDTEE Farms has three dogs, but just two "farm dogs". Starting with oldest, we have Morgan (female). She is a 9 year old dalmation. She is what we call the "farm mother". She loves babvy animals and tries to "mother" them. She never had the chance to have puppies, so we say this is her way of being a mother. She loves it when it is lambing time. But, the ewes don't. :(
Next we have Benny, our male Dalmation. He is 7, but acts like he is still a puppy! We used to live in a subdivison, so he never got to run lose. Now that we live on 18 acres, he runs and runs and runs! He loves taking long bike rides and barking at the horses. Ok, so maybe he's not a good famr dog, but he does love the barn!
And lastly we have our rescue dog, Riley. He is around 2 (we are unsure) and a Minature Pinsher (spelling?). He was found to be running within a 2 mile radious for about two months, before the dog catcher caught him. We felt he belonged at our house, since it was the area he called home for two months. He is not allowed in the barn, mostly because he cannot control himself and tries to attack chickens and he even tried to challenge a horse (he thinks he is a big dog!!). He is soo cute, but soo scared. A lot of things scare him, so he mostly stays in the house, unless someone takes him out on a leash or puts him in his pen!
So those are the farm dogs at RDTEE Farms, how about yours? Let's liven this place up again! Feel free to post pictures as well! Let's give credit to those hard working dogs!!!

We have a 1 yr. old Welsh Pembroke Corgi named Jazmyn. She lives in the house with me as a wonderful companion. She is the smartest dog I have ever owned. She is very acquainted, on leash, with all the animals. Licks the horses noses. I am still working with training so she is not off line yet. I am too afraid of her getting hurt or running out of our property, which she has done once before. I am intending to take some herding classes with her this spring. It is my intention of having her round up any animals that may get out of their pens. We have 2 steers, 6 horses, and soon a lamb and a meat goat for 4-H. She loves our kitten and is always licking her and is gentle when playing so I am sure she will be good with the baby goats. First 2 pics are her as a baby. The next is her at 11 months.
We have two farm dogs -- Sovalye, an Anatolian shepherd, who is our livestock guardian. He lives with the goats. And then we have Porter, who is an English shepherd, and we bought him to herd the sheep. I also have Joy, a little bichon, who doesn't like any of the animals, except baby goats, which she loves. I can't have her out there when we're disbudding because she gets VERY upset!
Sounds like you have two very special dogs!! How did you come up with the name Wiggles? Sounds cute!!

WE have 2 dogs who both stay in the house. Wiggles is a Shitz zu(i can 't not even spell tonight) I am not sure how old he is I had him for a couple of years before moving to the farm. He loves babies. He would lay up the baby claves and went out with me to check them until one of the momies got him. Now he is terrified of them. He like the baby goast when they are bought in the house he cuddles up with them on the couch with Trenton. The we have our old dog sissy who is our gifted dog. We found her almost a year ago all most dead in the pasture. Starved and hurt. Someone had dumped her tried to shoot her and then she had been hit. She is terrified of cars so the vet has to come to me to care for her. She has never tried to hurt the chickens or the goats but the goats target her so I have to leave her in the house when they are out. She has never even hurt the cats and I have 8 of them. She is house broken and just a lovely old girl. She is really a one person dog but when I am at work she sleeps in my moms room. She guards the place but is going blind due to catracts and Wiggles has to go with her or she gets lost especially at night. That is my babies and I have to say they are VERY spoiled.
