I want to get a few things, for emergencies and need suggestions! I had a couple of problems this past year I wasn't prepared for and had to run around borrowing last minute.
Anemia- I have been told to get the ferrodex pig iron. which I haven't yet but feel that should be on my list!???
I have the Durvet brand B-complex injectable.
I have Bio Mycin 200, which according to fiascofarms would be the right antibiotic to prevent uterine infections following any problem deliveries.
But I think that I need to get Procaine Penicillin G/ Penicillin G Benzathine for respiratory problems!???
I know nothing about Probios, but obviously I need that too, so suggestions on what to get please!???Paste, feed granules, boluses?????
I am wondering if I should get something for coccidiosis!???
If some of you who order from Molly's herbals would also give me advice on the couple of things you find most helpful, and most needed, I would appreciate that also! I really would rather learn how to use natural methods to replace the to often used methods we have become accustomed to using.
Vitamin leads are welcomed too!
At this point, I am temporarily overwhelmed with what to get, so I will stop here as I continue to search!

If you only have a few goats, you probably do not need to keep it on hand. Even with my herd of 30+ goats, I usually wind up throwing away an unopened bottle after it expires.
i have been thinking a lot about medicines to keep on hand and found this discussion, and i'm wondering if anyone can shed a little more light on what the BioMycin 200 is. what would you use if for?
Well Missy, I don't make yogurt! LOL! Not yet anyways, after all I need those 9 yearlings to have kids and milk! Then maybe I can think about trying to learn to make yogurt!
I did just go ahead and order a lot of stuff! Mostly for the goats, some for chickens and rabbits!
Here is what I ordered:
Tetracycline soluble powder
Di-Methox sol.pow.
vit.& electrolyte plus
Ivomec Injectable
Dyne
Twin Pen/Combi Pen
Vet rx sheep&goats
Vet rx Poultry
Vet rx rabbits
Cal-C Fresh
Pick No More (love this stuff-works great)
Vit ADE & B12 Gel
Proios Powder
Electrolyte Pak Plus C
Ferrodex (Iron)
New Foot Shears!
I have at one time or another had all of these things in my medicine cabinet and most of them just get thrown away unopened by the time they expire. About the only thing I feel like I should have on hand is the BioMycin 200 simply because it is the no-sting version, and I can't buy it locally, so if I need an oxytetracycline in an emergency (which is the only time I need it!), I would have to buy the kind that stings.
I've started using yogurt instead of Probios. I know it has active cultures because I'm making it every 2-3 days from the last batch. I always kind of had my doubts about when the Probios was no longer good.
Why do I ALWAYS forget to change the category from introductions?
