Do the eye colors change sometimes like people, or not? Can they be blue looking when born and change? What if they have 2 different colored circles around the pupil? Like blue around the pupil and then half way away from the pupil the colored part changes color to a light gold looking color. Not dark gold like her momma! I took some close up pics but they aren't loading for me. I think I may have to attach them in a little bit! It is so hard to get the eye color to show up on them tiny things anyway.

Your right, I figured they would just change! And she is suppose to have 2 brown eyed parents. But she was suppose to be born in June and now that she was born in August I think we are dealing with a different dad now. Sooo... yea! Have to talk back with breeder but I think she knows which one it is and I shan't complain, he is awesome! I know it is hard to tell when they are newborn Deborah, but you have lots of experience too, so what do you think? Doesn't she have a very regal looking face? hee hee! I think she reaks of quality! She is so gorgeous. Aren't we so lucky, to have them?
Yes, some kids may look like they have blue eyes at birth, and they change within a few days. I know several people (including myself) who got very excited when they were new to goats and thought they had blue-eyed kids from brown-eyed parents. That does not happen. Unless one of the parents has blue eyes, the kids will have brown eyes. If one of the parents does have blue eyes, you have 50/50 chance of blue, but you probably know that. What you're describing sounds like a brown-eyed kid foolin with you. Kids that really do have blue eyes seem much more obvious and clear cut.
OK, this is the best I have been able to get so far! They still don't look like they do in person. I am thinking that I will get someone with more experience than me to look at them later if I need to, some people who raise goats and have blue eyes etc..
