My FF Prita is at day 142 today. Her ligaments are very soft as I've been checking them every day multiple times so I know what they feel like. Her udder is very full! We have a storm rolling in tonight and I live alone, so no one to come help me (always hope for daytime births because I can get someone to come over!). I feel pretty good about this girl, she has ample hips even though she's only 19" tall. She's BIG and I'm pretty sure she has at least twins but maybe triplets! Her babies look like they've dropped and she's been nesting too. So nervous and excited! She is one of my two original does and is near and dear to me. Here are some pics from tonight. What do ya'll think? She's on the left on my double milking stand:

One more for me too ;) in only 2 weeks! It's my doe that lost the third one last year so kind of nervous about it. I think you (Patty) were the one who talked me through it last year when I didn't know what to do or what was wrong. I've learned SO much since then and feel a whole lot more confident I can get through whatever comes, thanks mostly to this site (thank you Deborah!).
Congratulations, Juliana! Such fun! :) I have one more doe to kid this year, any day now; another mini-Nubian or two on the way. So excited to see it/them!
Congratulations! Isn't it crazy how the second one can come flying out so fast when the first one is a big one? Glad you were able to see it.
YAY! I am so happy for you! I have been checking this on and off. They are adorable!
Congrats!
Twins born about noon! One each: buckling and doeling. Doeling was first and 4 lbs -- tough to push out as she pushed for over an hour or more but presented with nose and hoofs. Buckling came flying out seconds later
and is 2 lbs 10 oz and came back feet first. So happy! They are both nursing well and mama is wonderful.
Well we made it through the night and this morning she's talking up a storm. Today is day 145. She doesn't want to be left alone and she doesn't mind me touching her anywhere (yesterday she didn't like it!). She has an amber goo string and her backside is even more mushy than last night. Looks like today (thank you Prita for waiting until daylight!). I'll keep you posted.
I do have a monitor and have been camping out on the couch so that the husband can get some sleep. He is out of town so I was able to sleep in the bed, with the monitor.
I listen to it during the day too with the binoculars to take a peek without running out to the barn.
Nutmeg is due the end of June. I might invest in a video monitor.
Good luck! I am very excited for you!

I hope you have a baby monitor Liz. I couldn't do it without one, I'd be a nervous wreck! Right now I can just hear them breathing in there, especially the very hugely pregnant doe who is not due for 2 more weeks... she has the "Darth Vador" breathing (poor thing). I don't think I'll get much sleep with one ear peeled to the monitor but still I'm hoping she holds off until morning. Good luck to you too and can't wait to hear what happens!
Yay for you! Hopefully you will have kids tonight.
I did notice that her udder is much bigger today.
I can't wait for an update from you. :)
