So, from my research, I have learned *about* CAE, CL, and Johnes (sp?), but I haven't been able to find out what the actual procedure is for testing for these diseases. Could someone tell me? Does it involve a vet middleman, like Coggins testing with horses? Is it really complicated? How often should you retest? Are there any other major diseases that should be tested for?

I need to know more about this too. What exactly are we sending in? Is there a kit that needs to be ordered, and then samples collected? I get totally overwhelmed when looking at these sites.
Hmm. How do you navigate the Biotracking website? When I go there, and click on the goat page, all I can find is a page for a pregnancy test, but nothing about sending in blood samples.
Do you use WADDL for the other tests? Or how do you do that?
They only do CAE though. If you want CL and Johnes, you will have to use WADDL:

I just mailed blood to this company today for the first time:

You can also do a pregnancy test with the same blood draw, which is the main reason I'm using them now instead of WADDL, which is where I have always sent blood in the past.
Well, I should probably learn things like blood drawing anyway. :P Where do you send the blood off to?
I haven't done the tests yet, but it involves a blood draw. If you can do those on your own, then you can skip the vet middle man from what I understand. There is a video in one of the discussions showing how to do a blood draw.
