Congrats to Annie

She had two strapping little bucklings this evening...will put up pics tomorrow.  #1 came out like a little tornado.  He was like "where am I???  Who are you???  Where's the milk bar!???"  Latched on and drank at the speed of light and she could not lie down to push out #2 because she was so busy chasing #1 around the stall.  We finally held him still so she could do #2!

Learned a valuable lesson w/ #2, who could not figure out how to nurse.  Too many warm bodies to choose from.  Both my daughters, me and the doe's sister were all in the stall with her (she had protested badly when I tried to remove the sister earlier).  I took sister to the stall next door, my daughters and I cleared out, and he latched on right away when there was only one possible "mommy" to choose from.

  • Thanks!  #2 has blue eyes, looks like #1 is brown.  I think I am going to be real impressed with momma's udder too.  I have never seen her in full milk till now, WOW!  Hope she puts as much in the pail as it looks like she could

  • Congratulations Julina, they are precious!

  • Thanks!  Yeah...wish we had gotten around to getting a scale.  We are the farm for whopper babies, apparently.  But these are AGS/ADGA registerable kids by Bliss- Miyagi was NOT involved lol

  • Those look like big kids! Congratulations!

  • #2 is almost a spitting image of mama
