Change over in feed...wow!

I have been feeding sweet feed goat ration since I got my goats.  I also have read everything I can about goat nutrition.  The goats were not cleaning up their small cup of grain each day and I wondered why.  I had thrown some sunflower seeds in and also top dressed with minerals.  My husband brought browse to them everyday as well.  

Last week I purchased oats and sunflowers (I was out) and a product called Selbits.  I mixed 3 to 1 oats ans sunflowers added a small bit of Selbits and a small amount of sweet feed for the changeover.

Wow.  They are diving into the grain and cleaning it up quickly.  This morning my milker's quantity was also up. I am impressed.

what sort of oats?  rolled? and what are the health benefits?

:( I was hoping I'd found another way to get selenium into my goats instead of BoSe shots. Oh, well.

I talked to this fella for quite awhile about the need or not for selenium. He said Maine is quite deficient. I was going to purchase some other feed stuffs and he talked me out of getting more than I needed.

I can't find it on the Blue Seal website. Is it really new?

What is Selbits? I've never heard of it and can't find it on Google.
