Okay, folks. Now I have a buck rag. What do I do with it? Do I wait until I think Summer might be in heat or do I let her sniff it every couple of days? It is terrycloth and packed into a gallon jar. Tonight, I let both Summer and Ginger sniff it (still in the jar with the lid off). At first they were curious, for maybe a minute or so, then both of them shook their heads and backed off, looking at it very suspiciously and definitely wanting nothing to do with it. The lid is securely back on the jar now to hold the scent as long as possible.

Since I am new like you at this, I would let them sniff it daily so I could observe the daily differences in their reactions. Just so I can learn what to look for also. I hope that makes some since. Anyways, I would like to do this to learn more about it but am not sure mine would ever react with bucks right on the other side of the fence line.
