I'm curious - my friend had it happen and now my doe is going through it - also following the copper bolus. I just bolused on Tuesday and the timing of my doe is exactly like her doe. She is acting normal but just a little tired and off her feed. Eating hay but not the piggy girl she usually is.

She is fine now but since it happened to both my friend's doe and my doe - around same stage of motherhood - I ponder that it was a "discharge" of worms from the copper. As we know - the copper bolus can make the system hostile to worms - perhaps it actually causes a die-off. Similar to another worming situation I read about where worm die-off made the animal a little off feed.
She is back to normal now and we'll see where the fecals are when they come back.
In both cases - friend and here - all goats got the bolus - only one had this reaction so we assume - just the individual.
Just a thought: could it be that she was being "piggy" because of her need for copper, and now that she has it, she doesn't "need" to eat as much?
It's never happened here, and we've been giving COWP for six or seven years.
